Tech Needs
Sound
- Provide sound reinforcement in 1000 seat procenium auditorium
- Provide sound reinforcement on stage for participatory dancing
- Mic live folk bands with up to 20 performers
- Deal with a wide array of instruments including unusual folk instruments
- Perform changeovers in 5 minutes
- Run dance performance blocks with a mix of live and recorded sound
- Provide similar sound reinforcement for smaller groups in other, smaller venues
Lighting
- Provide general illumination for bands and participatory dancers
- Provide lighting for performance blocks with minimal input from performers
- While in-house system provides much that is needed, a few enhancements are required.
- Circuits must be run long distances from FOH to on stage.
- Extra instruments are needed.
Recruiting
The following positions are needed:
- Lighting Director
- Sound logistics coordinator
- Equipment transporters
- Load-in and load-out crew
- Running crew
